Southeastern Outreach Partnership Project

The Office of Science Education and Technical Information through it's staff in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and Atlanta, Georgia is providing leadership in building a collaboration with other Department of Energy Program Offices and a wide range of external participants in the Southeast to improve the delivery and use of Departmental technical information and technology transfer resources. This newly developing regional coalition held it's first meeting on April 4, 1995 and decided to pursue the following issues:

Among the external partners are the Southern States Energy Board, the Georgia Research Alliance, the North Carolina Division of Energy, Enterprise Florida, the Advanced Technology Development Center at Georgia Tech, the Georgia Youth Science and Technology Council, and the Southern Technology Council. The next Partnership meeting will be held on June 20, 1995.

This Southeastern Outreach Partnership could serve as a model for the establishment of other regional coalitions throughout the country.
