East Tennessee's leadership in recycling hazardous and nuclear waste into reusable products is helping to solve America's environmental problems. Worid-class environmental activities in East Tennessee provide a national model for private sector solutions to environmental issues. The focus of the environmental session vAill be on identifying the obstacles hampering the cleanup efforts all across the country. Chattanooga's leadership and success in commercial cleanup and the environmental industry in Oak Ridge provide opportunities and challenges for sustaining successful private sector activities.
